Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya

2009. Barcelona, Catalunya
Judith Ramírez, Joan Ramón Rosell
Brief description:
The building of the Palau Nacional, currently the headquarters of the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC), is a building with an initial will to be ephemeral. It was built for the Universal Exposition of Barcelona in 1929.
It is obtained from a building with a certain degree of experimentation built with prefabricated pieces of artificial stone in the form of "T" that generate, by superposition, the walls.
Over the years different dysfunctions have appeared. In the case that concerns us, lesions in the cornices.
